On January 6, VVHS POWER SET toured NASA’s Johnson Space Center Houston. They met and had lunch with Dr. Anna Fisher, one of NASA’s first female astronauts and the first mother in space. Dr. Fisher flew on the Space Shuttle Discovery in 1984. She encouraged the girls to “work hard at your studies, have big dreams, and be persistent.”

The students advancing to Area will compete on January 13th for the chance to go to State. Please congratulate these students on their accomplishments and wish them the best of luck as the advance to the next round of competition.
