This week, Mr. Matt Steiner was approved to be named VVISD Assistant Superintendent. Mr. Steiner obtained his Superintendent’s certification earlier this year. Starting his 13th year in education this summer, Mr. Steiner has 7 years of successful campus experience as a principal at multiple schools within VVISD.  He also has a proven track record of raising student achievement, improving campus and board accountability goals, and fostering innovation, and leading his staff and students in a positive work/learning environment. He has supervised administrators and staff while directing the district safety procedures and plan this past year, leading other administrators with TTESS and disciplinary guidance, managing accountability plans, and significantly enhancing outcomes of all student populations.
